The Serendipity Story:

400dpiLogoCropped.jpg

Serendipity Psych was born from a shared dream between two colleagues who spent more than five years talking about opening a practice of their own. The timing never quite felt right—until the fall of 2019, when a series of events aligned and created the opportunity to turn that vision into reality. From the beginning, helping others has been at the heart of our work. Dallas and Ariana first connected while working at a local agency shortly after graduate school. They bonded over a shared passion for mental health, a commitment to continual clinical growth, and even a mutual love of the TV show Psych. Together, they brought more than 22 years of combined experience across outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, emergency room support, and risk management.

Serendipity Psych was built with clients at the center. As a private-pay practice, we value the autonomy, privacy, and flexibility that allow for deeper, more effective therapeutic work. We recognize that each person’s journey is unique, and honoring that individuality is essential to meaningful growth and healing. By remaining intentionally small, we are able to foster strong therapeutic relationships and provide thoughtful, personalized care in a safe and welcoming environment.

In May 2025, Ariana officially stepped away from Serendipity Psych to focus on other professional endeavors and spend more time with her family. We are deeply grateful for her vision, compassion, and clinical expertise. Ariana played an integral role in shaping the foundation and mission of Serendipity Psych, and her impact will always remain part of our story. That same year also marked the closing of another meaningful chapter, as we said goodbye to our original location at 193 Russell Road. This space held years of growth, learning, and connection, and we carry those experiences forward as we continue to evolve.

Moving ahead, Dallas remains committed to leading Serendipity Psych with the same care, intention, and passion that inspired its beginning—continuing to support individuals and families through high-quality, personalized therapy rooted in trust and connection. Serendipity is more than a name. It reflects our belief that meaningful change and connection can be found even in unexpected places—and our ongoing promise to help clients discover those moments along their journey.

One of the first things you’ll notice when you enter our waiting room is our tree—what we call the Serendipity Psych Giving Tree.

For over 10 years, Dallas and his family have carried a tradition of setting up a “giving tree” in their home, collecting gifts and donations throughout the year. That tradition grew alongside Serendipity Psych and now lives within our space as a reminder of why this work matters.

Over the past five years, that spirit of giving has expanded through our annual Santa Shop events. In 2025 alone, we were honored to support 50+ families and 100+ children with more than 500 gifts, and 400 pounds of food were distributed during the holiday season. The Giving Tree serves as a daily reminder—to us and to those we work with—to give a little more, work a little harder, and aim a little higher as we continue to show up for our community.
